The Gutter Cover has a nose forward design. That means it extends past the front edge of the gutter, causing debris to be deflected away from the gutter. If you were to be on top of the roof looking down, you would not see the front edge of the gutter, because the cover protrudes over it.
Looking up from the ground, you would see the nose of the cover sticking slightly over the top of the gutter. This is extra insurance that debris cannot enter the gutter. It is another key to an effective gutter protection system. It also eliminates 99% of the gutter covers out there. Most solid covers do not come forward all the way to the front edge, leaving a large opening for catching debris. Sometimes these openings are big enough to stick your hand in. Obviously this is not going to be as effective in keeping out the leaves, sticks, stems, petals, and other debris falling from the trees.
